Fresh Christmas Trees Are Back At Gin'Gilli's Vintage Home!

Make your holiday season complete
with the sight and scent of a real tree!

There is no denying the special holiday feeling that comes with bringing home a fresh, green Christmas tree. Whether you crave a more traditional experience or simply enjoy the festive smell of pine in the air, selecting and decorating a real Christmas tree is a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy. Fresh-cut and live Christmas trees are back at Gin'Gilli's Vintage Home and you can shop for one right outside the front of our shop!  We have a wide variety of lush Douglas & Noble Firs fresh cut from the green mountainsides of Oregon - come in today for the best selection!

Care and Maintenance

Having a fresh tree requires additional care. As soon as you get the tree home, make a new cut on the trunk so it can readily absorb water. Saw ½-1” off the base and immediately place it in water. Keeping your tree hydrated is the key to maintaining a healthy, vibrant life. Trees drink a considerable amount of water, as much as a gallon or more a day, depending on the type and size of the tree. Make sure your stand has a large enough capacity to keep the base of the trunk submerged at all times. Fresh-cut trees usually last between 4 and 6 weeks, so now is the perfect time to come on down and get yours at Gin'Gilli's Vintage Home!

  • Be sure to choose a stand that can fit around the entire width of the tree trunk
  • Stands should have a minimum capacity of 1 qt. of water for every inch of stem diameter
  • Check water daily and make sure that the base of the tree is always covered
  • Water your tree using plain tap water with no additives for best results
  • Recycle your tree at the end of the season through your local community program

Support your local small businesses in Geyserville and keep it local! Our tree prices are the best in town, and while you are in please stay a while, check out our new digs, get a little Holiday shopping done...Our vendors have filled their spaces with enticing merchandise that you will not be able to resist!!! What We Call Chaos, Heaven Calls Change...Change Is Divine!

We are all aware that we already possess all the inner wisdom, strength, and creativity needed to make our dreams come true.  It is in the spirit of that very affirmation that we make this very EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!  Vintage Home Collective Is Moving!!!

After much consideration and deliberation, prayer and contemplation, we have decided to change our shop location.  Although we are only moving right down the street, we are undergoing other transformations as well!  Our new location will be at: 21079 Suite E  Geyserville Avenue, Geyserville, CA. 95441

The decision to relocate was very complex, but after discussing all of the possible outcomes at great length, we made our choice based on a few positive and key factors:

1. LOCATION
At our new spot we will be right in the middle of Downtown Geyserville.  This is business central!  We will be occupying a "U" shaped building complex with shared businesses adjacent to our location.  Currently AJ's Mini Mart and The Route 128 Vineyards Tasting Room are all nearby.  The footprint of our store is almost the same size as the property we now occupy, with the possibility of expansion.  We will continue to do Collector's Fairs and other "outside" events throughout the year.

2. INCREASED TRAFFIC & SALES

This was a no-brainer!  It was always a challenge for us to get customers to find the shop.  Now, the inherent flow of tourists and visitors that already patronize established restaurants, businesses, and wine tasting rooms Downtown, will easily find us.  Since Geyserville is such a small town, many people wander afoot while waiting for table reservations or search for a little distraction after having a glass of Pinot.  It is our hope that we'll finally be discovered by new shoppers simply because of our increased visibility!  This ultimately means we get to meet new friends (our cherished and beloved customers and natives alike) while our vendors continue to succeed and thrive in their individual enterprises.

3. UNIQUENESS

As of October we will be the ONLY vintage / antique shop in all of Geyserville.  We plan to capitalize on this exclusivity by providing our town with a store that has a reputation for supplying merchandise of the utmost quality and superior selection.  Visitors and regulars alike can expect a pleasant and gratifying experience EVERY TIME THEY COME IN!  We will continue to be the best little gift shop in Geyserville!

4. COMMUNITY

Now that we no longer feel disjointed and separated from the core of Downtown, we look forward to being more active in the community in which we work.  This means the possibility of future collaborations, growing working relationships with fellow business owners, and fostering an environment of goodwill and positivity that benefits EVERYONE .  We want to put Geyserville on the map as a DESTINATION SPOT for tourists, and we want to do it TOGETHER!

In the spirit of CHANGE and NEW BEGINNINGS, we are also modifying our store name.  Going forward we will now be known as
"Gin'Gilli's Vintage Home".  A visual re-branding of our company will be apparent in all of our future signage, flyers, and marketing materials.  Here is a sneak peak at the new logo designed for our blog:

You will also be glad to know that 100% of your favorite vendors will be making the move.  That's right!...All the great sellers you already know and love at our old location will be represented at our new location - along with a few new ones!  So a gentle reminder: Please plan on attending our last Collector's Fair on October 27th (see the previous blog post for details!).  We will be running HUGE SALES so we have less to move.  By supporting this sale, you are guaranteeing fresh looking spaces in our new spot...our vendors always have new treasures waiting in the wings, so more space, means more COOL NEW STUFF!

On October 30th we will start our transition, and hopefully be all done in a few days.  Technically, we will not "close shop" during our move!  Both doors at both locations will be wide open and we are willing to sell anything you see - even out of moving boxes!  Please bear with us as we get settled and dressed up in our pretty new space!

At The New & Improved Gin'Gilli's Vintage Home We Pledge To:
  • Continue to provide you with a compelling and happy shopping experience marked by excellent customer service in a friendly carefree environment!
  • Promise to stock our store with treasures filled with nostalgia, honey-laced memories, and sunshine infused colors!  Only the best merchandise for our clientele!
  • Provide excellent music in our store that will keep you shopping, or dancing with delight for that matter!
  • Always display and merchandise our spaces in an inspiring and innovative fashion, thus triggering your imagination and igniting your creativity!
  • Teach you how to beautify your life through instructive workshops, decorating demonstrations, and shared heirloom recipes!
  • Help you surround your home with items, from our shop, that put a smile on your face and make you happy everyday!
  • Strive to treat people with Kindness, because Kindness Matters!
On a final note, we would like to thank our landlord Dave Rose for the opportunity to start and grow our business on his property.  Dave, your support over the years and the improvements you made to make our shop more comfortable and inviting will never be forgotten.  Also, to all of our trustworthy neighbors on the surrounding lot, Thank You for watching over our store in our absence.  We will miss seeing your friendly faces daily, but we hope you will come by our new location often.

TO NEW BEGINNINGS!!!

One More Time For Old Time's Sake!

Have you ever had that wonderful dream where you happen upon a brand new vintage shop, you go in, everything is super cute, and when you turn stuff over to see the prices, everything is RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP!!!  So you proceed to buy objects because you still can't believe the INSANE PRICES...but when you go to open your wallet, you only have $10.00!!!  *GASP*  The shopkeeper continues to bring more AMAZING JUNK from the back room - I mean...EVERY SINGLE THING IS GREAT & COMPLETELY YOUR STYLE!!!  You now have over 20 items that you want, but NOT ENOUGH CASH!!!  THEN...You look out to the parking lot and suddenly 10 cars have descended on the store...OH NO!!!  COMPETITION!!!  You start to sweat because you finally realize this once pleasant dream is slowly dissolving into a NIGHTMARE!!!....THEN YOU WAKE UP!!!  Please don't let it be TRUE!

Let me tell you...I have this NIGHTMARE all the time people!  But I am here to deliver you from this horrific hallucination.  FALL has finally arrived in Geyserville, and October means that we are holding our FINAL Collector's Fair of the season!  Now is your chance to experience the above scenario in REAL LIFE, only this time it will have a HAPPY ENDING - WE PROMISE!!!

As you already know we've had a several Collector's Fairs this year, thanks to all who have come and supported in the past!  BUT...you don't want to miss this end of the year sale because it is also our HUGE MOVING SALE!!! (More details coming soon on this exciting announcement!).  Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 27th from 8:30am-3:00pm!  Come get started early on your holiday shopping!  There will be TONS of clearance goods provided by numerous vendors, buy 1 get 1 free DEALS, even $1 / $5 / $10 tables...AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!!  Everything from the parking lot yard MUST GO & NO REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE REFUSED!!!  SO come prepared with your mad haggling skills, an empty truck to haul your swag, and a pocket full of cash!!!  As usual, the shop will be open, and many vendors inside will be running BIG SALES in their spaces, just ask us where the deals are and we will point you in the right direction!

Additionally, there will be an exciting Autumn marathon run happening that same morning in town so Geyserville Avenue will be closed in the early morning hours.  Here are a few logistical reminders so you can all join us with ease:

SELLERS:

Vendors will have driving passes to enter the property BEFORE 7am!  Linda & Elisa will be sending them out via email or you can pick one up in the shop before the event.  Sellers will need to drive in and unload and park in our yard until the runners pass our shop.  This will be strictly enforced by the Highway Patrol.  If you don't plan on being an early bird, sellers can also arrive after 8:30am when the race is done, however, we do expect some early morning customers from the people who transport runners to the site.  Please see Elisa about where to park your car once you are done unloading.

BUYERS:

If you are dropping off a runner early, come on down to catch a good deal!!!  Otherwise, we will be open for customers starting at 8:30am.  Since there will still be remnants of marathon street mahem happening, it probably would be best for you to get to our sale through the Canyon Road off ramp and backtrack into town.  There will be ample parking for you on the side of our building.

REMEMBER - This SALE is going to be HUGE!!!  We need to make room and liquidate most of our inventory so that we have LESS TO MOVE!!!  Our LOSS is your GAIN!!!

SEE YOU THEN!!!

Fall Is Coming Around The Bend...

Fabulous Fall!  It's about time.  Finally, the weather is starting to cut us some slack, allowing us to emerge from our air-conditioned cocoons to enjoy the Valley again.  We adore the Autumn season, but we will sadly lament the bounty of tomatoes, melons, and Summer vacation sunburns.  For now, however, we’ll continue to prepare for the inevitable chill by stocking the shop with creature comforts: cool nights made bearable with nubby sweaters, wool blankets, & vintage quilts...pumpkin spiced candles lend seasonal fragrance to any room...wooden mirrors to reflect the contemplative mood...coffee mugs & tea cups to warm your mornings...amber glassware for festive toasts...recipe books will help you plan that festive Fall open house...primitive candlesticks cast your home with a soft glow...the changing hues of rust, mustard, clay, prairie, moss, and wheat abound!  Hunkering down means surrounding your home with everything that warms your heart as well as your soul!
